Novice Training

The WQMA Novice Training Program is a fun, informative learning process. Each potential driver must complete Novice Training to participate in quarter midget racing.

Each session will last a few hours.  Please complete your membership registration ahead of time; contact WQMA Secretary Kristina Schukar for more information, or see our membership page.

For those of you with kids who have never been in a quarter midget, we will be meeting at the track after drivers' orientation is finished so they can take a trip around the track. You will need your own car and all the driver's safety equipment. We will do a safety review of the cars to ensure they are in good mechanical operating condition.

PLEASE make sure that the throttle is set so when your driver presses on the gas pedal, the throttle moves less than 1/8 of an inch. This is not only for the safety of the kids but also the trainers.

Please contact Novice Training Director  Randy Geary  with any questions.

If you have any questions about training or would like to sign up, please call Randy Geary at 360-540-3430.  If you are not yet a member, please contact Kristina Schukar right away so she can get you Membership paperwork!
